Week5: Marketing and Ticketing

Accomplished this week:
In this week, our marketing group focus on all the materials (poster and tickets) for ticket selling and playtest for next week.

Haichen asked the graduate office about posting posters and we knew that we can post our posters at bulletin boards of every building without any permissions. So it will be much easier for us to do this thing. Claire monitored all online reservation and sent emails to tell people to come. All the playtest slots are filled in and we also have several reservations for the upcoming escape room game event. But Monday’s playtest is cancelled because of heavy snow. Then we move them to Tuesday’s playtest. Varun kept working on the website and database. He uploaded videos from running team to home page of the website and added available time schedule part. The website is almost done. He took the money box from dean’s office and we will use it for ticket selling next week. Jiaming made all the materials just like posters and tickets ready to be printed and we will print these materials after break. He also kept updating the social media for our escape room game event. Here are some screenshots to show that.       




Since ticket was approved in class and poster was accepted in slack. Jiaming made the size of these materials correct. Zhengfan will print all the materials including tickets and posters after break. He and Haichen will post posters at every building.  The poster is as follows:

At the top of this poster, we can see Escape Room and big logo. It’s easy to understand what the activity is. And we put money information under the word “Escape Room”. It does matter for most of students. At the main body, we provide four parts including Open time, Online Reservation, Pay for Your Ticket and More Info. Open Time part shows available time for players. Online Reservation part gives out three platform to make online reservation. Pay for Your Ticket part just provides information about our table selling. There is no confuse for people who are interested with our game.

We sent the Ticket Selling Schedule to everyone in class and there are still some slots with no people. Anyway, our marketing group will always be there until we sell out all tickets. We have booked tables for ticket selling from Dec 2nd to Dec 5th. We have one day inside table in campus center and 4 days outdoor table at West Street Fountain. But what is terrible is that we just missed the only one day for inside table because of heavy snow. We are still considering where to sell tickets at the last two days.   




Future work:
Escape room will open at the end of this week. We will sell all the tickets this week and collect money for ticket correctly. We will help all playtesters to finish their playtest.  Also we will keep posting pictures or words in social media. When players finish their escape, we can post their picture if we are permitted.
