WEEK 3 - SET DESIGN AND BUILD TEAM- Set and Polish the Wall

To conclude, our main work  this week focused on strengthening and painting the walls of the escape room, which was still divided by simple wooden frames last week, and our work this week was to turn them into a real wall.

At the beginning of the week, Monday and Thursday nights of the week, my team started adding cardboard to the wooden supports to give the entire wall a basic shape.Since some walls need to be embedded with computer monitors, we took into account the space reserved for the monitor and the space for wiring while filling the walls. We filled in three walls on Monday night.

After filling the wall, we started to add a protective layer to the wall. The teaching assistant helped us to add a protective layer of yellow tape to the cardboard wall.In the evening of Thursday, the basic work of our team was to add a protective layer for the wall. We worked in groups to add a protective layer of yellow tape for all the four walls during the night of Thursday. The walls were then ready to be painted.

On weekends, our team started the next step. We started to paint the wall to ensure that the wall became white, so as to facilitate the subsequent painting work. We divided into two groups and went to paint the walls on Saturday and Sunday. Each group was responsible for half the walls of the room. We applied wall plaster all over the wall, and the teaching assistant helped us protect the floor before we started to make sure that the floor would not be contaminated during the whole process. And the wall looks more like a real wall after painting

In addition to the construction work, this week we again checked all the puzzle Settings and items they needed, and made up some items that we didn't have before. We haven't come up with a particularly perfect solution to the slider puzzle, the current approach doesn't meet the demands, and we're considering a different approach.
items we bought this week

For the next week's program, the next week we will start the installation of the puzzle in the wall.We plan to complete the installation of all the wall-related puzzles next week, including the adjustment of the computer monitor and the installation of the single transparent glass. If time permits, floor laying and installation may also begin the following week.

As for the arrangement of puzzles, we will try to complete the setup of all puzzles next week, including the purchase of items and the placement of rooms. Our focus will be on the slider puzzle, which is currently the most problematic, with the designer's proposed design approach failing to meet his or her needs. We might consider a different approach to achieve the goal.

  1. I hope you solve the slider puzzle. Even if you replace it entirely, have something there.
